Woman attempts suicide at JFK over deportation

Donald Trump’s immigrant crackdown has caused a woman to attempt suicide.

The news broke today that on Thursday, at the Kennedy Airport, a woman tried to attempt suicide after she heard that she was being forced to go back to her native country. She was waiting on her flight to Chile but was held at customs and decided to take 30 sleeping pills and some muscle relaxants about 2 p.m.

“She really didn’t want to go back to Chile,” a law enforcement source said. “She was intent on killing herself.”

It is reported that the woman fell unconscious and started having difficulty breathing. When Port Authority Police Officers John Devins and Dominick Renda were called to the scene, they administered Narcan, a nasal spray version of Naloxone used by law enforcement agencies across that helps with overdose.

Officials reported the spray revived the woman, and she was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.
