Trump: ‘Without me the Olympics would have been a total failure’ (w/ Twitter reactions)

On Saturday, during a rally in Pennsylvania for state Rep. Rick Saccone (R), Trump took credit for the success of the 2018 Winter Olympics Games.




Trump stated, “I’ll tell you, we did a great job on the Olympics.”

He continued, “President Moon of South Korea said without Donald Trump the Olympics would have been a total failure.”

He also took credit for reducing the nuclear threat from North Korea.

He added, “It’s a little hard to sell tickets when you think you are going to be nuked. But when North Korea called and said they wanted to be in the Olympics, everybody said let’s get tickets and go.”

He went on and praised South Korea for doing “a great job” and praised the unity that was shown between North and South Korea.

Trump’s comments at the rally come after it was announced by the White House that Trump has agreed to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
