On Thursday, Trump announced he believed he has had “one of the most successful” beginnings of a U.S. president in history. This took place during a brief interview with reporters aboard Air Force One while heading to meet Chinese President Xi at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
“I think we’ve had one of the most successful 13 weeks in the history of the presidency,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One.
Trump, never good with facts or numbers, has actually only served 11 weeks as president, not 13.
Trump pointed to the current numbers on job growth, his military planning, and saving money on aircraft. Of course, he completely ignored all the chaos, failed healthcare reform, failed travel bans, a high turnover rate among his staff, and the fact that he’s under FBI investigation.
According to recent polling, only 34% of Americans believe Trump is doing a good job.
