On Tuesday, Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by two Norwegian lawmakers.

The lawmakers who nominated Trump were Christian Tybring-Gjedde and Per-Willy Amundsen who belong to the Progress Party.

The nomination comes after he signed an agreement with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that says the country will work toward denuclearization. It also comes a little more than a month after 18 House Republicans sent a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee asking them to nominate Trump for the coveted prize.

The nomination would be for 2019 as this year’s nomination closed in January.

Last year, the winner was the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. The most recent American to win the award was former President Barack Obama in 2009.
