Trump turns meeting with Kim Jong Un into a sales pitch for hotels

According to Trump, he talked to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un about having beachfront hotels and other real estate developments in North Korea.




Trump reportedly made a business pitch to Kim while he showed him a Hollywood type movie trailer that shows the country with luxury high-rises and modern trains.

During a news conference after his talks with Kim, Trump said that he told the North Korean leader that they could have the best hotels in the world,” instead of testing missiles.

Trump stated, “As an example, they have great beaches. You see that whenever they’re exploding their cannons into the ocean. I said, boy, look at that view. Wouldn’t that make a great condo?”

He continued, “And I explained, I said, you know, instead of doing that you could have the best hotels in the world right there. Think of it from a real estate perspective. You have South Korea, you have China, and they own the land in the middle. How bad is that, right? It’s great.”

Trump’s comment comes after the two leaders signed an agreement that promises the U.S. to unspecified “security guarantees” in exchange for denuclearization.
