According to a report from Page Six, Donald Trump Jr. is considering running for governor of New York.
Trump Jr. was speaking to a group called F6 Labs Gun Club, in Hicksville, NY, when he mentioned he would love to follow his father’s footsteps by running for office.
One of the guests reports, “Don Jr. said he is interested in running for office, such as governor of New York, but the position of mayor of New York would be less interesting to him.”
The Trump son said he was not interested in running for Congress.
Trump Jr. says that he misses the campaign trail and ‘going back to doing deals is boring’ him. The two Trump sons are currently running the Trump Organization. “The politics bug bit me,” he says.
Trump Jr. has connections to the alt-right and is a strong supporter of gun rights. Last March he spoke to a white supremacist radio host, has sent out racist tweets, and argues in defense of the Confederate flag.
There is no indication of when he might run, just that he’s interested.
