On Wednesday, as Trump arrived back in Washington D.C., he seemed to be upset about how the summit was portrayed by the media. In a tweet, he blasted the media, in particular, NBC and CNN as “our country’s biggest enemy” for their coverage of the historic summit.
Trump tweeted, “So funny to watch the Fake News, especially NBC and CNN. They are fighting hard to downplay the deal with North Korea. 500 days ago they would have ‘begged’ for this deal-looked like war would break out.”
He added, “Our Country’s biggest enemy is the Fake News so easily promulgated by fools!”

This tweet comes as he also tweeted that North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat.
During the meeting, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Trump signed a vague agreement that stated that North Korea would work toward denuclearization.
This is not the first time Trump has attacked the media. He has criticized the media many times in the past. Back in February, he has specifically referred to the media as the “enemy of the American people.”
