On Monday, Trump demanded the audience of farmers in Nashville, Tennesee give him a standing ovation.
This happened during the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual convention.
One of the changes made doubled the threshold to qualify for the estate tax.
Trump stated that farm families will now be “spared from the death tax” and now they’ll be able to “keep your farms in the family.”
As the crowd was applauding, Trump then told the crowd, “Get up.”

He added, “That was a tough one to get. That was a tough one. Obviously you love your families, otherwise, you wouldn’t be standing for that one.” Which was strange for him to say after telling them to stand.
The speech was mostly about policies that would help farmers and people in rural areas. During his speech, he included the topic of why the American flag and the National Anthem should be “respected.” He also mentioned the infamous border wall between the US and Mexico.
