On Tuesday night, during the State of the Union address, expect to see new impeachments ads funded by Tom Steyer, a billionaire Democratic donor.

Steyer has spent $40 million on a campaign that calls for Trump’s impeachment. It includes national ads, a petition, and billboards in Times Square.

During the address, Trump is expected to talk about immigration, national security, and jobs. Some experts predict that he will cite the booming economy as proof of his success.

This new ad will draw attention to some parts of the presidency that Trump wouldn’t want you to see.

It will talk about Trump’s decision to fire former FBI Director James Comey, ending the DACA program, and picking fights with the North Korean leader.

The ad will say, “He can fire an FBI director who won’t pledge his loyalty. He can order the deportation of a million immigrant children.”

It continues, “He can threaten an unstable dictator armed with nuclear weapons. He can go into a rage and enter the nuclear launch codes. How bad does it have to get before Congress does something?”

According to Steyer, Trump has committed eight impeachment offenses, including conspiring with Russia.

Steyer stated, “The debate is no longer whether he has met the standard for impeachment, but whether members of Congress will allow him to get away with it.”

He continued, “Waiting for a politically convenient time to acknowledge this jeopardises the stability of our country and pushes us further away from our democratic values. We cannot wait until tomorrow, or next month, or next year. The time to act is now.”
