On Monday, thousands of people gathered across the country to protest Donald Trump in a demonstration called “Not My President’s Day.”

“Not My Presidents Day” rallies took place in more than two dozen cities, including Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Austin, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Denver and Washington, D.C.

It is reported that in New York, many chants were heard such as, “Hey, hey! Ho, ho! Donald Trump has got to go!,” “He cheats, he lies, open up your eyes,”  “Not my president!” and “Black lives matter!” At one point, people sang along with the brass band for “America the Beautiful.” Their signs defended refugees, criticized the Trump’s Cabinet picks, and called for Trump’s impeachment.

Olga Lexell, who helped set up the LA rally, said she noticed signs about “the immigration ban, losing our health care, deportation raids, anti-climate policies, sanctuary city funding and the wall that Trump thinks he’s going to put up.”

The “Not My Presidents Day” rallies are the latest protests following the women’s marches after Trump’s inauguration.
