On Monday, Stormy Daniels filed a lawsuit for defamation against Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal attorney.

Daniels is asking for a jury trial to settle the lawsuit.

According to the lawsuit, Cohen defamed her when he sent out a statement suggesting that she lied about the affair. It specifically points to a line by Cohen where he stated, “Just because something isn’t true doesn’t mean that it can’t cause you harm or damage.”

The suit claims that the statement caused Daniels  “hatred, contempt, ridicule, and shame, and discouraged others from associating or dealing with her.”

The lawsuit continues to claim that Daniels “has suffered damages in an amount to be proven at trial according to proof, including but not limited to, harm to her reputation, emotional harm, exposure to contempt, ridicule, and shame, and physical threats of violence to her person and life.”

Daniels is already in a legal battle with Trump, in which she claimed the nondisclosure agreement she signed is invalid because Trump never signed it.

The lawsuit comes just one day since Daniels’ interview about her affair with Trump on 60 Minutes was aired on CBS.
