If Robert Richie, aka Kid Rock, is serious about his Senate run in Michigan, a new poll reveals that Richie has a chance in the race. He is trailing Democrat incumbent Debbie Stabenow by 8%.
According to a Target-Insyght poll, Stabenow leads by 50%-42% in a matchup with Kid Rock. The poll consisted of 822 likely Michigan voters and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
The survey also revealed that there is still relatively strong support for Trump in the state of Michigan.
Forty-nine percent of people who participated in the poll said that Trump is doing an “excellent” or “pretty good” job while 50 percent said he’s doing “only fair” or “poor.”
It also showed that there was strong support for Richie among the Republicans. There were 344 Republicans who participated in the poll and 33 percent said they would vote for him in the primaries.
The latest announcement the rocker has made about the race was last Wednesday when he stated that he will be creating a nonprofit organization for the promotion of voter registration.
