On Thursday, Vice President Mike Pence was asked about the bombshell report where Michael Cohen sold multiple corporations access to Trump. This happened during his interview with NBC’s Andrea Mitchell.
Mitchell asked, “You now have the president’s lawyer getting millions of dollars from companies that he says he can get access, including one company that had a Russian connection. Is that draining the swamp?”
Pence tried to downplay the scandal and distance himself from it. He also tried to describe the situation as a “private matter.”

Pence replied, “Well, what I can say is that, that private matter is something I don’t have any knowledge about, and the White House issued a statement saying the same.”
During the same interview, Pence urged Special Counsel Robert Mueller to wrap up the investigation.
Pence’s interview comes just a day after AT&T and pharmaceutical giant Novartis confirmed payments to Cohen for access. They also added they are cooperating with Mueller.
