In the battle of brains, Mensa revealed that they are willing to host Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
On Tuesday, Forbes came out with an interview where Trump reportedly said he would challenge Tillerson to an IQ test and compare their results.
In reference to Tillerson’s “moron” comment, Trump stated, “I think it’s fake news but if he did that, I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who is going to win.”
Mensa is “an international society whose only qualification for membership is a score in the top two percent of the general population on a standardized intelligence test.”
When they were asked if they were willing to accept Trump’s suggestion, the group’s communications director, Charles Brown stated, “American Mensa would be happy to hold a testing session for President Trump and Secretary Tillerson.”
Brown was asked if Trump or any of his Cabinet members have ever taken the Mensa admissions test in the past, he stated, “But it’s important to note that our admissions test is not the sole way to qualify for Mensa — there are hundreds of other prior-evidence tests that can qualify a member.” He continued, “And the early success of many presidents no doubt exposed them to those types of qualifying avenues.”
Brown added, “Each could have encountered standardized academic tests (LSAT, GMAT, Miller Analogies), where qualifying scores would have propelled them into Mensa.”
