On Friday, Trump is scheduled to make a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

However, it seems as though he may be addressing an empty room.

There are some attendees who are planning to boycott his speech to protest his infamous “shithole” comment. Some people plan to walk out or simply not attend.

Trump’s comments were first reported by The Washington Post. The report claims that Trump referred to Haiti, El Salvador, and some African nations as “shithole countries.”

The remarks were said during a closed-door meeting in the Oval Office.

Trump continues to deny the comments.

There are some people who have attended the meeting who confirm he used the term while others deny it or simply say they didn’t hear it.

Bonang Mohale, the CEO of Business Leadership South Africa, revealed their plan to boycott Trump’s address in a powerful open letter to Trump.

Mohale wrote that he and others will boycott Trump’s address. He also urged “likeminded peers to do the same.”

He wrote, “The overt racism of these statements is self-evident, and a stain on an office as august as yours.”

In the letter, he also criticized Trump for his “continued failure to unequivocally apologise.”

It is reported that there may be protests outside of the forum as well.
