Former Playboy model Karen McDougal is now freed from a contact that barred her from talking openly about her alleged affair with Trump.
This happened on Wednesday after she reached a settlement with American Media Inc (AMI) that released her from the agreement.
This victory comes a month after she sued AMI, claiming she was misled about the terms of the contract.
She claimed that AMI paid her $150,000 for her story about her affair with the intent of not publishing the story. This is also known as a “catch and kill” agreement. This is because the publisher who bought the rights to her story is Trump’s friend, David Pecker.

In a statement, McDougal stated, “I am pleased to have reached a settlement with AMI on my own terms, which restores to me the rights to my life story and frees me from this contract that I was misled into signing nearly two years ago.”
She continued, “My goal from the beginning was to restore my rights and not to achieve any financial gain, and this settlement does exactly that.”
McDougal claims that she had a 10-month affair with Donald that started in 2006 when he was married to Melania. However, Trump has denied his affair with McDougal.
