On Tuesday, Democrats won another important special election.
Democrat Margaret Good won the state representative seat in Florida’s 72nd district.
She won by over 3,000 votes, nearly 8 percentage points. This is the 36th Democratic flip since Trump took office.
The seat was vacated by Republican Alex Miller, who resigned from her post during the middle of her first term in August. She cited family and business reasons for her resignation.

During the 2016 presidential election, Trump won this district by five points. However, there are about 13,000 more Republican voters in this district than that Democrat voters.
Good’s victory comes just after Democrats flipped another special election in Missouri, a district where Trump won big, with a 61-33 margin.
