On Saturday, Democratic lawmakers are offering now former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe a job so he can receive his full retirement pension. This happened after Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe just two days before his retirement.

Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) responded to a tweet from NBC’s Andrea Mitchell that suggested that McCabe could still receive his pension if he was hired by a member of Congress.

Pocan wrote, “Andrew call me. I could use a good two-day report on the biggest crime families in Washington, D.C.”

That same day, Pocan revealed that he offered McCabe a position on election security at his office.

In a statement, Pocan said, “My offer of employment to Mr. McCabe is a legitimate offer to work on election security. Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of American democracy and both Republicans and Democrats should be concerned about election integrity.”

Other Democrats were also offering McCabe a job.

Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Mass.) also responded to Mitchell’s tweet saying:

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) stated he needed a Special Senior Staff Attorney who would help deal with “threats to the Constitution and the rule of law in America.”

Rep Luis Gutierrez of Illinois told McCabe to call him on Monday if he needs a federal job, adding that he was serious.

It is unclear if McCabe has taken up any of the offers that were presented to him.

According to Sessions, McCabe was fired because he was not completely honest with investigators and for unauthorized communication with the media.
