On Saturday, hundreds of thousands packed the streets of Washington D.C. to make a powerful statement against gun violence. However, Trump decided to spend his weekend at Mar-a-Lago.
But if Trump was hoping to have a quiet weekend of golfing, he will be proven wrong.
There were at least 2,000 people who were expected for a March of Our Lives event in West Palm Beach.
The route that was planned for the march would be along the same route that Trump would take to go to and from his golf course.

Michelle Kendall, one of the organizers who helped secure permits, asserted, “They will have bullhorns. They are going to do everything they can to make their voices heard.”
Valerie Rangel, another organizer, stated, “He may not like to hear what we have to say. I think he’ll get a really angry response from the crowd because a lot of people are angry that he allows groups like the NRA (National Rifle Association) to hold our lives hostage.”
However, it was revealed that Trump took a detour from his normal route. This detour helped him not only avoid the march but also the impeachment billboard that was installed along the motorcade route.

This is not the first time Trump has taken a detour to get around protestors. Last year, when protesters gathered to demand to see Trump’s tax returns, he took a detour then too.
