On Friday, Donald Trump went to Twitter to announce that Ret. Gen. John Kelly is replacing Reince Priebus to be the new White House chief of staff.

Trump tweeted:

There was no formal announcement by Priebus about whether he resigned or was fired. However, Trump thanked him in a tweet for “his service.”

This news broke as there were tensions between Priebus and Trump’s new communications director Anthony Scaramucci.

On Wednesday night, Scaramucci called a reporter for The New Yorker and used very colorful language to criticize Priebus. In the interview, he also predicted that Priebus would resign.

“Reince Priebus — if you want to leak something — he’ll be asked to resign very shortly,” Scaramucci said.

“Reince is a f—— paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,” Scaramucci continued.
