Rumors swirl after the White House tree Macron planted disappears days after his departure (Details)

On Monday, we watched Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron plant a European Sessile Oak together.

The oak sapling that was a gift from Macron. It was meant to be a symbolize the strength of the friendship between France and the U.S.  The tree was from the site of The Battle of Belleau Wood, where nearly 2,000 U.S. died.

However, on Saturday, a Reuters photographer noticed that the oak was gone. The photographer only saw a small yellow patch of grass, where the tree was planted.

The White House did not give an explanation for the tree’s disappearance. But, according to the French version of Huffington Post, the sapling is under quarantine. This information was provided by an unnamed source.

The source also noted that the tree is doing very well, wherever it is.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection website states that “certain plants and ANY plant parts intended for growing (propagative) require a foreign phytosanitary certificate in advance.”

However, social media users have a different theory on what happened to the tree:
